Why AtTartilQI Built AFAM

Over the years, the same conversation kept repeating itself. A learner would write to us after a class series had ended: I really wanted to join, but I could not make the timings. Is there any way to still benefit?

AFAM — our learning membership — was built as a direct answer to that question. It exists for the sincere learner who is also a parent, a working adult, a caregiver, or a traveller, and who needs the Qur'anic learning journey to bend gently around the rest of life.

The Problem We Kept Hearing

Adult Qur'anic learning rarely fails because of lack of interest. It usually stalls because of timing. A class falls on a work night. A series finishes the week a baby is born. A trip overlaps with a key module. The intention is there; the calendar is not.

We did not want this to be the reason a learner drifts away. The Qur'an is too important, and the seekers are too sincere, for the door to close every time a schedule slips.

What AFAM Actually Is

AFAM is a membership that gives access to selected AtTartilQI learning sessions in a format learners can revisit on their own time. It is built around the same teaching philosophy as our live programmes — careful, structured, and rooted in tadabbur — but designed for self-paced engagement.

It is not a replacement for our live core programmes. Live learning, with a teacher and a community, remains the heart of what we do. AFAM sits alongside it, so that a learner who cannot be there in person can still keep walking.

AFAM exists for the learner who is sincere but stretched thin — the parent, the working adult, the traveller.

Who AFAM Is For

AFAM is for the working professional who wants to keep learning between major life seasons. It is for the parent who can only sit down after the children are asleep. It is for the traveller, the new revert, and the long-time learner who wants to revisit an earlier session more deeply.

It is also for graduates of our programmes who simply want to stay close to the material and to the community as they continue practising what they have learned.

How AFAM Fits Into Our Mission

AtTartilQI's mission is Qur'anic education that goes beyond recitation through understanding, reflection, and practical application. That mission cannot only live inside a classroom. It needs to follow learners home, into their commutes, into their late evenings, and into the quiet corners of their week.

AFAM is one of the ways we try to honour that. If you have ever wished you could revisit a session, slow down a lesson, or simply keep learning at your own pace, AFAM was built with you in mind.
